"We are here because they were there" collective staged a unique artistic demonstration in London. This unconventional exhibition took place inside a parked truck situated directly outside the Tate Britain. The project represents a mobile approach to displaying art and inviting audience participation. It also opened a space to deconstruct our opinions on migration in our current political climate, especially situated next to an institution like Tate Britain. Passers-by were also invited to hop into the truck and make badges at the badge station organised by Bristol-London-based artist Oshii. An exhibition that was birthed from a lack of access to space fostered public participation, dialogue and creative expression.
